International meetup October: Designing for Belonging

On 27 October we're hosting Designing for Belonging, a talk by Omar Salem. Omar is a designer and advisor who helps organisations build environments where belonging is lived, not performed. His work draws on architecture, design and education, and on a multicultural and neurodivergent perspective that most rooms are missing.
The session is built for two audiences at once: organisations thinking about how their workplaces, systems and services actually serve the people in them, and anyone who has ever found a room harder to be in than it looked.
Topics we'll touch on:
• Why access, inclusion and belonging are three different things — and why most organisations stop at access and call it all three.
• What it costs people to filter and regulate their way through badly designed environments, and why organisations lose talent over it.
• What designing for belonging looks like instead.
