Nature
Nature has a special place in our hearts
Trondheim is a city located by the fjord, and surrounded by mountains (or «fjell» as we call them in Norway – you might as well learn it already). You can take a bath in Trondheimsfjorden, and not even an hour later find yourself hiking in the wooded trails and paths of Bymarka (the City's outskirts).
Fascinating as it is, nature brings a certain calmness and quality to your everyday life. Especially when living in a region where great nature experiences awaits just outside your doorstep. Afternoon strolls along the seaside is to be found in most of the municipalities by the Trondheimsfjord, and in Trondheim City norwegians and expats are greatly enjoying walking the nearby Ladestien or taking an wednesday afternoon trip in Bymarka by foot or skis.
